In WY 2022-23, the CAP water year forecast called for “20- 40% above normal precipitation” for the state of California, despite many other forecasts predicting drought. At the conclusion of the water year, the total precipitation received was equivalent to 43.3% above normal, marking the 7th consecutive year the CAP forecast has verified.
